  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches or dents that do not hinder computer functionality.
  • Intentional and/or malicious damage.

Batteries
Notebook batteries, like any battery, degrade with use and time. Batteries are consumable items. The Devil's Pledge Warranty will cover battery failure for 1 year after the date of purchase.

Data Recovery
Duke Computer Repair will take every precaution to protect the student's data, and will attempt data recovery whenever possible. However, the student's data is the student's responsibility. The Office of Information Technology provides every student network storage space for data back up and security. If it's important, BACK IT UP.

Physical Damage
The Devil's Pledge Warranty program is designed to cover "accidental mishaps." It is NOT a catchall program relieving the student of responsibility for their property. Intentional or malicious damage, or damage caused by negligent behavior is not covered.
